这款游戏最初设计为让玩家在短时间内享受乐趣的休闲游戏。富有创意的玩家也可以在其中游玩数小时，用于筹备烟火表演，或在探索地图的过程中寻找可以炸毁的物品。

《Fireworks Mania》在实验分支上线重大更新：推出全新的商店系统，玩家可通过游玩积累点数兑换物品；新增超300项基础内容，涵盖各类烟花、发射管、角色、引线节点及背景音乐播放器；角色模型现可真实手持各类工具，并加入更自然的躯干动画与爆炸布娃娃击飞物理效果；多人游戏房间列表与玩家菜单完成重构，支持在加入前预览主机Mod；重做烟花物品栏与聊天界面，并优化了多人联机加入时的卡顿问题。

2026年9月30日

v2026.9.3实验版更新增加了模组替换游戏资源的系统提示；调整物品拾取机制，手持物品不再缩放且箱子无法直接搬运；重做商店交互为长按解锁；更新物理工具的光效与瞄准判定；重置并调整了迫击炮等物品ID以彻底解决模组ID冲突；修复了蓝图加载时发射架倾斜以及语音聊天导致的崩溃问题。

本次实验性更新加入了全新的商店与点数解锁系统，可通过游玩赚取积分并兑换超过300种全新烟花、发射架、角色和装饰道具；重构了角色动画与手持工具显示，新增受爆炸冲击时的布娃娃系统；优化了背包分类与聊天界面，新增动作轮盘；并修复了大量物理交互、界面显示、手柄适配及联机卡顿等问题。
