游戏支持 1 至 3 名玩家进行在线或本地合作，整个战役在单人或合作模式下均可完整游玩。玩家可以独自游玩并在英雄之间自由切换，也可以邀请两名好友一同体验，尝试不同的通关解法。

关卡设计基于物理机制，提供包含危险机关、敌人和装置的 20 个关卡，谜题拥有不止一种答案。玩家可以使用冰霜箭将哥布林冻结成冰，将怪物升至高空并封锁在箱子中，利用 Kitesail Shield 飞越深渊，或者借助扭曲时间的重力泡泡让世界慢下来。

旅途中将经过险恶海边的城堡、炙热的沙漠、积雪覆顶的冰山，乃至巨虫的内部。

《三位一体5》1.0.4版本更新正式上线，主要新增了PC、Switch与Xbox之间的跨平台联机功能，并支持同平台好友邀请。补丁修复了旧款AMD显卡阴影闪烁及内存泄漏问题；改进了悬崖抓取操作体验；修复了多个关卡的卡死软锁、越界漏洞与联机存档错误；此外解决了PS5手柄震动异常，并将Steam Deck电池模式下的帧率上限调整至60帧。
